Beavers and Cubs go to Fundays

Date: 23rd Jun 2017 Author: Scout Websites
On Sunday 11 June , Huron and Hudson Beavers, along with a few Vorda Cubs, went to the Beaver and Cub Funday at Woodhouse Park, near Bristol.

This was our third year of going to Fundays, and it never disappoints! The Beavers were able to try out lots of new things, including climbing, abseiling, crate stacking, quad biking, cooking camp doughnuts on a fire, and a very muddy adventure course.  They also met outside organisations, such as Tesco, Rolls Royce and the Police. All the children had lots of fun, leaving the day rather muddy, and very tired, with one Beaver describing the day as being “better than Disneyland!”

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
