Design a Group Badge

THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED.  FINAL DESIGN(S) WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY. 

Many Scout Groups have, in addition to their section name tapes, a badge to signify their Scout Group. We would like to have one for 1st Highworth, and the Exec Committee have already agreed the idea.

But – we need a design! Have you some ideas?

We are running a competition within 1st Highworth to help us design a Group Badge. Would you like your badge design to be worn by all members of 1st Highworth for years and years to come. There may be a single ‘winner’, or there may be more than one, as we will look at all suggestions and designs and hopefully end up with one which we feel is a real representation of 1st Highworth.

The competition is open to all members of 1st Highworth – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, YL, Leaders and Exec members.

The badge will be worn on the back of the necker and as such it can be a diamond shape, or a ‘kite’ shape, or indeed not have a specific shape as it will be embroidered onto the necker (yes, a badge that doesn’t have to be sewn on!!). There are about 180 members who wear the 1st Highworth necker, so consider your design being seen on that many people in the town.

It needs to represent 1st Highworth, be relevant and lasting, so get your creative juices running and put your ideas onto paper. You don’t have to be a good artist to create a design, we are after ideas which we can incorporate in to the final design. Please don’t forget to add your name and section to the rear of your design.
