What did Scouts ever do for us?

Date: 24th Jan 2020 Author: Matt

Well, they brought us adventure, fun activities and skills for life according to some of our Scouts!

At Scouts you can learn how to kayak, mountain bike, and how to safely (and responsibly) use a penknife as well as many other cool and exciting activities. Scouting is an all-inclusive activity, welcoming people from all backgrounds.

Lily (aged 11) said,

We have lots of fun, and feel like I have improved my determination as well as making lots of new friends.

Learning how to build a raft…

We also spoke to one of our Scout Leaders, Tim, who said,

It’s great watching the scouts develop their confidence and skills whilst away on camp over the years they are with us.

Come along to Scouts and you will have the time of your life making friends, building fires and generally having fun!

If you’re tempted to join us, how about filling in the joining form to give us your details?

With thanks to the late Terry Jones for the inspiration for the headlne.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
