Celebration of our Year

Date: 14th May 2019 Location: 1st Highworth Scout Hut Sections: Group Activity

Come and join our yearly celebrations

We will be holding our annual general meeting on Tuesday 14th May and you are invited to come along to join us in celebrating the year we have had!

DID YOU KNOW?

The current leader team and Exec committee between them have in excess of 450 ‘volunteering’ years with the Scout Association.  That’s ignoring all the other charitable work we undertake each year.

At this year’s AGM you may:

  • find out more about what your child’s Section did during the year.
  • discover a little about the Section that your child will be moving to in the future
  • learn about some of our ambitious plans for the coming year.

Our leaders and Exec would really appreciate you giving up around 1 hour of your evening this year to come and support our AGM.

As always, the chairman will deal with the business part speedily and efficiently to allow time for section reports, but with the aim of finishing everything within an hour.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
