Christmas Post

Between: 14th December 2019 - 15th December 2019 Location: Highworth Sections: Group Activity

What a fantastic response so far – thanks very much.

The rota sheet in the hall is around 80% complete, but that still leaves quite a few streets and roads needing somebody to deliver their cards. If you have not yet signed up could I please ask you to put your name down. Even if you do not know the street Google can help and, in some cases, almost show you the front door. As we get nearer the delivery weekend could you please consider taking on an extra street, if there are still spaces left.

Regarding the delivery itself, cards can be collected on Saturday, 14th December from the scout hall between 09.00 and 12.00. They should be delivered that weekend. Please remember this is not an activity for unsupervised children.

Please buy some stamps if you can and persuade friends and family to use the service. Stamps are currently on sale in the Lighthouse Bookshop and cost 30 pence. The last day for posting is Wednesday 11th December at 16.00.

To highlight the funds we can raise, the group receives 11 pence for each stamp we sell and 17 pence for each card we deliver

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
